Wrapping up the UMS

The 9th Annual Underground Music Showcase was once again a huge success, and what more could Dayjob ask for. For the second year, Dayjob polished the pixels to deliver this year’s festival website and artwork. We worked with local artist, Gary Lee Bomar for the great illustrations and hand lettering, and David Kurtz from Bocumast for help with several collateral pieces. This year again, the silkscreening needs were done by our comrades at Indy Ink.

This year, our work load consisted of everything from creating a brand for the festival, and applied to a variety of signage, merchandise, and advertising, all the way down to designing buttons that UMS volunteers and attendees could wear.

Some of our favorite projects included:

Custom Silkscreened Posters (Printed at Indy Ink)

Men’s and Women’s T-shirts (Printed at Indy Ink)

Festival Program Cover Art (Program layout by David Kurtz, Bocumast)

Street Light Banners

We also put together a web site that informed fans, volunteers, and bands about UMS news. All-in-all we really enjoy the UMS this year in every aspect and look forward to next year’s adventure.
