A day in the life of a Dayjob Intern

With Dayjob’s work piling up, we took on an intern this summer to help us take on some of the load. Jessica Christie is a graphic design major that came to us all the way from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. As soon as she arrived at the beginning of June, we set her to work with projects that interns usually only dream about!

Right off the bat, she designed this year’s punk rock skateboard for Vans Warped Tour to be held at Invesco Field in Denver, CO on August 9, 2009. The skateboard is going to be used for giveaways and contests.

Of course, a Dayjob intern’s job is never done. She also played a major role in the design for the 2009 Underground Music Showcase, designing posters, t-shirts, and anything and everything you could get your hands on at the festival.

What about the coffee runs, the filing, cleaning the office…? Needless to say, we spoiled our intern with some great projects to boost her portfolio and experience to take back with her to Ohio. We could not have asked for a better summer.
