It’s been quite a year.
It’s been quite year. I heard hundreds of hours of audio and video this year, read millions of characters of text, and seen thousands of images in the media. It is an election year. It is an economic crisis year. It is a recession year. It is a bail-out year. It is year of culture wars, job-losses, trade deficits, thirds-worlds becoming firsts, polygamists, gay-marriages, CO2 emissions, and organic fruit.
As a photographer, I wondered how to distill the year down, and all of its messages in media coverage, pundits, radio-talk hosts and events into a wordless, and direct statement about the state of our affairs and of our union.
